Do I need a landline for my ADT-monitored security system?

When considering home security systems, ADT monitoring offers two choices:

A landline security system uses your home telephone line to connect with the company’s monitoring center. It’s important to also consider a cellular connection as a backup source if your line experiences a power outage. Your home phone line will serve as the main communication channel between your home and ADT monitoring centers, but if an outage occurs the cellular connection takes over, ensuring you have a way to contact help at all times.

ADT realizes that many homeowners don’t have a home phone line, opting instead for a cellular device as their main form of communication. A security system with no landline connection typically uses cellular technology to communicate with the security company’s monitoring center.

Customer understands that presentation of this ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE signed by Customer is required and understands that ADT reserves the right to reject any application for reimbursement that does not comply with ALL of the requirements. Photocopies or other reproductions of this Certificate will NOT be accepted. By signing below, Customer certifies to ADT that all of the foregoing requirements have been satisfied.
