How to Stay Safe at Home During a Power Outage

Over on Home Security Source there’s a great article about staying safe at home during a power outage.

Among some of the tips: If power is lost for more than 24 hours throw out all food in the refrigerator to avoid food poisoning. And never use candles or open flames for light or heat. Stock up on batteries to use for flashlights.
