But how well do we know everyone who we connect with on social websites? Probably not as well as we would ideally like. A few people found out the hard way that you can’t trust everyone you connect with on social sites. More importantly: it’s not too wise to broadcast your location at any given time, especially as a new home owner or renter.
According to this story on Switch.com, a small crime ring was busted for monitoring Facebook status updates and looking for opportune moments when “friends” were out on vacation or shopping.
